At Susman’s Biltong, we’ve built our reputation on meat snacks. If you’re after honest snacks - sweet, savoury, and somewhere in between - you’ll find them here. From chilli bites biltong to South African apricots and Candy Beacon sweets, we stock the kind of food that speaks for itself.
We’ve made biltong the same way since 1979. We use grass-fed Aberdeen Angus Silverside. We cut it by hand. We dry it slowly, never rushed. And we don’t hide the quality behind artificial flavourings or sugar.
Our chilli beef biltong is sliced thick, air-dried for up to five days, and spiced with our own blend of chilli and vinegar. It’s tender, bold, and properly seasoned. You get heat, but you still taste the beef. If you're tired of chewy jerky that tastes like barbecue sauce, this is different.
Prefer something leaner? Our chilli bites biltong is cut into thin, short strips and coated in a house-made chilli bites mix. It’s drier, chewier, and travels well. People buy it for gym snacks, lunch boxes, or long drives. It’s high in protein, low in fat, and doesn’t need refrigeration until opened. We vacuum-pack every batch in 500g bags, gas-flushed for freshness. You won’t find preservatives or weird extras on the label. Just meat, spice, and time.
We stock South African apricots because they’re better than most. They’re sun-dried, unsulphured, and full of tangy flavour. You get chewiness, sweetness, and a clean finish.
People eat them straight from the bag, add them to bakes, or chop them into breakfast bowls. They also work well with savoury snacks. Biltong and apricots together make a balanced trail mix. High protein, natural carbs, long shelf life.
We don’t carry imported sweets just for the sake of variety. We sell the ones South Africans actually eat. Candy Beacon is a name you’ll know if you grew up in SA. They’ve been making proper South African candy for decades.
We stock the full range: Jelly Tots, Fizzers, Fizz Pops, and more. These aren’t boutique sweets or trendy new lines. They’re the same stuff that’s been sold in SA corner shops for generations. If you’ve had them before, you’ll remember them. If you haven’t, they’re worth a try.
South African biscuits do one thing well, they hold up. You don’t get a mouthful of air, or oily crumbs. You get something solid.
We stock the classics: Eet-Sum-Mor, Romany Creams, and Tennis Biscuits. They’re reliable. They last months in the cupboard. They go with coffee, or work as snacks on their own. Some people use Tennis Biscuits as bases for fridge cakes and cheesecakes. Others just eat them straight.
If you're already ordering biltong, adding a few packs of biscuits makes sense. They travel well and don’t go to waste.
Start with our chilli beef biltong if you want something tender and spicy. Go for beef biltong if you like a leaner, tougher chew. Add a bag of South African dried apricots for contrast. Grab a few Candy Beacon sweets if you're after nostalgia or something for the kids. Throw in a box of Eet-Sum-Mor if you drink tea.
